Come have a free cuppa on us…
We’re excited to invite the community to a new collaboration between Latrobe Catchment Landcare Network and our friends at Community College Gippsland.
On the third Wednesday of each month, drop in anytime between 9:00am and 11:00am and enjoy a FREE barista-made coffee from the CCG barista students at our shared home in Morwell.
The cafe has been inspired by the Climate Cafe concept; creating a relaxed and welcoming space where people can come together, have a cuppa and simply start a conversation about our environment. You might have ideas to share, questions to ask, feel a little overwhelmed about environmental issues, or simply be wondering what you can do locally to make a difference.
These conversations are open to everyone, Landcarer or not.
What makes this partnership even more special is that while we’re creating a space for community connection, CCG students are also gaining valuable hands-on experience. The cafe gives students the opportunity to practise their barista and customer service skills with real people, in a friendly and supportive environment, helping build confidence before they step into the workforce.
For us, it’s also an opportunity to share ideas, spark imagination and introduce people to the many different ways they can get involved in Landcare, conservation and volunteering locally.
Come along, grab a coffee, meet some new people and see where the conversation takes us. Sometimes a simple conversation is where something great begins.
