Cowwarr Landcare Group
Our purpose is the re-establishment of near natural vegetation (EVC 55) on the "thorpes and thwaites" of land available in our local area, whether it be private or public land. We use volunteer labour to tackle erosion control, weed management and revegetation purpose projects.
The group are heavily involved in maintaining parts of the Swingbridge Reserve at Cowwarr Weir. Members come together to plant trees, run workshops and promote the preservation of the reserve.

Projects to Celebrate
Park Benches & Bridges
July 2025, Cowwarr Landcare Group was fortunate enough to receive a grant from Loy Yang B Community Grants program.
Our grant application was for the construction of two low-level boardwalk bridges, park benches, picnic tables and interpretive signage to allow visitors to enjoy the flora and fauna within the reserve.
From the money received we asked Traralgon Men’s Shed to construct 3 picnic tables for us to install at our major project site at Swingbridge Reserve, Cowwarr Weir.
See the full project over on the Cowwarr LG Facebook post.
